We chose to stay at the Sunborn Yacht hotel for the night to make a trip of it and so that we could do some exploring the next day.
So I decided to do a little review of where we stayed...
Sunburn London Yacht Hotel - yep it's a superyacht which has been turned into a hotel in the marina of Royal Victoria dock and WOW it's fancy!
The entrance felt like walking onto Titanic with its double sweeping staircase and sparkling chandelier at the centre.
Staff
Staff were very friendly at reception and at the bar., we were offered an upgrade with breakfast but politely declined as we planned on visiting Borough Market the next morning and stuffing our faces with food there.
Facilities
We didn't make much use of the facilities as we were out and about most of the time, but I can imagine if you wanted a more chilled out stay it would't be too shabby to sip a few cocktails with this skyline for a view!
Room
Our room was huge! I have stayed in a few hotels in London and have never had a room this big or luxurious for the money we paid (we did get this room as a bargain, I am assuming because January isn't exactly peak time for London hotels)
Location
It's also fantastically located if you are attending an event at the O2 because within a 10 minute walk you have both the Emirates Air Line - a cable car which takes you from Royal Victoria to the O2 arena, and you have the Royal Victoria underground station.
If you can get a great deal like we did I would highly recommend this place for an overnight stay after an event at the O2.
